I express the gratitude I hold
for all my family friends and lovers
for all the joys and sorrows
and for that middle flattening of nothingness
that have brought me through the spirals of life
to stand within this moment
open and ready for the newness that awaits
lifting me to float
amongst the mundane tasks of everyday
with a rekindled inner sunshine
