baby boomers at perfect age
the baby boomers are retiring! – oh my goodness i am one of them! and i will be 60 years of age really soon – somehow that does not seem possible the years have flown by so fast – i remember as a young girl thinking that i would never even get to 30 and that seemed so old and here i am twice that now with grandchildren thinking that 30 is so old – it is interesting that each age i am at seems to be the perfect age and it does keep getting better – i spend time with my daughters with their extremely busy lives of careers and raising families – i recall the high stress of those times and of hardly ever having a spare moment for myself and the juggling of all the facets of my life and wondering when i would ever get to sit down for an uninterrupted cup of tea – i see that they seem to thrive on that high pace and are inspired to accomplish incredible feats in so many arenas and even a cup of tea and an occasional chapter in some ‘recreational reading’ – i admire my children’s generation and even though there are so many more things to juggle than when i was their age the majority still manage to keep their priorities and enjoy the precious moments they carve out for family – we’ll talk again about the moments carved out for we baby boomers – similar to the swan gliding softly upon the water visiting those who have the time to say hello – until then
